Life Fitness / Hammer Strength is offering a Summer 2027 Human Resources Internship in the Chicagoland area. This hybrid program blends on-site collaboration with remote work, providing hands‑on HR experience, mentorship, and exposure to multiple HR functions.

As an HR Intern you will support onboarding, employee engagement, benefits communications, and records management, while assisting with 401(k) audits and HR projects.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in HR, business, org leadership, psychology, or related field.
• Strong academic standing preferred with GPA 3.2+
• Local to Chicagoland and able to work on-site when required.

Responsibilities

• Support onboarding and orientation activities.
• Assist with employee engagement initiatives.
• Maintain accurate employee records and support policy compliance.
• Create and distribute benefits communications.
• Support 401(k) audits and related HR administration.
• Assist with HR process improvement projects.
• Collaborate with HR team on daily tasks and special projects.
• Attend team meetings and professional development opportunities.
• Contribute to a cross-functional 12‑week case study project.
• Present recommendations to senior leaders and managers.
