Job summary

North Oaks Health System is seeking an HR Intern to support recruitment activities, employee health initiatives, compensation and benefits administration, and general HR functions. The role ensures compliance with company policies and applicable employment laws, while providing essential HR support at the Hammond facility.

The intern will assist with policy updates, badge creation, file maintenance, and event planning, working PRN - as needed with a variable shift schedule.

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in Human Resources, Business, Management or other healthcare related field.

Responsibilities

  • Assist HR leadership with updating and maintaining policies.
  • Create presentations using PowerPoint and Canva.
  • Print new hire and transfer badges as needed.
  • Maintain HR file room and upload documents.
  • Assist with front desk and lobby support.
  • Conduct audits as assigned.
  • Assist with HR projects as needed.
  • Assist with reporting and notification requirements.
  • Assist event planning including registrations, flyers, and tracking of candidates.
  • Perform related duties as assigned by supervisor.
  • Follow compliance programs and federal/state guidelines.
