Job summary

Heartspring, Inc. is seeking an organized HR Intern to join our Human Resources team in Wichita, KS. You will gain hands‑on experience across recruiting, onboarding, employee engagement, HR admin, compliance and benefits while learning the full employee lifecycle.

You’ll work with the HR Director and Talent Acquisition team to create an outstanding employee experience and contribute to department initiatives during a full‑time paid internship.

Responsibilities

• Source and identify qualified candidates for open positions.
• Assist with recruiting activities, candidate communication, interview coordination, and hiring events.
• Support pre‑employment and onboarding processes.
• Maintain applicant tracking systems and recruitment data.
• Coordinate employee appreciation events and engagement initiatives.
• Assist employees with routine HR questions and direct them to resources.
• Support internal communications that strengthen workplace culture.
• Maintain accurate employee records and HR documentation.
• Assist with benefit administration and HR reporting.
• Support payroll and HR processes as assigned.
• Assist with employment law compliance and HR documentation.
• Help maintain HR files and reports; support audits and HR metrics.
