JLG Industries, an Oshkosh company, is seeking a Human Resources Intern to join the HR team in Maryland. Under supervision of experienced HR professionals, you will work on a variety of HR projects to gain knowledge and experience in various aspects of this discipline.

This internship emphasizes hands-on experience in salaried and hourly recruitment, position descriptions, and compliance. The role offers exposure to compensation surveys, international practices, Succession Planning, and policy

Qualifications

Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management or related field.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite required.
Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or greater.

Responsibilities

Assist in salaried recruiting tasks including organizing, preparing, and participating in job fairs, career fairs, campus recruiting, and interviews.
Create and maintain position descriptions for all departments within the organization.
Perform HRIS activity on our HR systems for applicant tracking, reviewing resumes, updating requisitions, and handling confidential employee information.
Schedule and conduct interviews for salaried and hourly positions.
Perform research and assistance for various HR projects as needed, e.g., compensation surveys, labor contracts, international practices.
Assist in company training, such as Succession Planning and Performance Management Training.
Support the Company’s Affirmative Action Plan program including regular activities, processes, and audits.
