We’re seeking an energetic leader who takes initiative, drives decisions, and delivers measurable improvements in retention, staffing and organizational performance across multiple shifts and an hourly workforce.

Qualifications

• Must have HR leadership at a Manager Level in automotive or comparable high-volume manufacturing.
• Experience leading a team of HR professionals across employee relations, recruiting, compensation, benefits, payroll and compliance.
• Experience developing HR strategies with measurable improvements in retention, staffing, leadership capability or organizational performance.
• Experience translating business and production plans into workforce requirements, budgets and hiring priorities.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute an HR strategy tied to business plans, production requirements and workforce changes.
• Lead and develop a team of HR professionals, establishing responsibilities, priorities and performance expectations.
• Build workforce plans that address staffing levels, critical skills, labor availability and future operating needs.
• Lead retention initiatives based on turnover patterns, employee feedback and differences across departments and shifts.
• Partner with senior leaders on organizational efficiency towards productivity.
• Assess compensation, benefits and employee programs and recommend changes based on workforce needs and business priorities.
• Establish consistent HR policies and management practices, with the HR team responsible for daily execution.
• Measure the results of strategic initiatives and adjust plans.
• Work with Corporate Legal Counsel on critical HR Matters.

We’re recruiting an HR Director for a manufacturing organization with 1000+ team in Indiana.

HR Director will focus workforce strategy, organizational planning and key initiatives and lead a team of HR generalists to manage day-to-day activities.

We’re looking for an energetic leader who takes initiative, moves decisions into action and follows through on results.

Experience in automotive or a comparable high-volume manufacturing environment is required.

• Develop and execute an HR strategy tied to business plans, production requirements and workforce changes.
• Lead and develop a team of 10 HR professionals, establishing responsibilities, priorities and performance expectations.
• Build workforce plans that address staffing levels, critical skills, labor availability and future operating needs.
• Lead retention initiatives based on turnover patterns, employee feedback and differences across departments and shifts.
• Partner with senior leaders on organizational efficiency towards productivity.
• Assess compensation, benefits and employee programs and recommend changes based on workforce needs and business priorities. Work with benefits brokers on renewals and changes.
• Establish consistent HR policies and management practices, with the HR team responsible for daily execution.
• Measure the results of strategic initiatives and adjust plans.
• Work with Corporate Legal Counsel on critical HR Matters.

Requirements

• Must have HR leadership at a Manager Level experience in automotive or comparable high-volume manufacturing, supporting demanding production schedules and a large hourly (non-union) workforce.
• Experience leading a team of HR and Broad functional knowledge across employee relations, recruiting, compensation, benefits, payroll and compliance.
• Experience developing and implementing HR strategies with measurable improvements in retention, staffing, leadership capability or organizational performance.
• Experience translating business and production plans into workforce requirements, budgets and hiring and development priorities.
• A record of building succession plans and leadership-development programs that prepare internal candidates for greater responsibility.
• Experience advising senior operating leaders on organizational structure & workforce initiatives.
• Experience supporting hourly and salaried employees across multiple shifts.
• Ability & Interest in working on-site in Indiana.
