Job summary

The South Carolina Department of Juvenile Justice (DJJ) is seeking an Employment Services Specialist to support the hiring process. You will manage the applicant tracking system, screen applicants, coordinate recruitment efforts, and help with new hire processing, ensuring timely and compliant documentation.

In this role you will assist hiring managers, provide candidate updates, and maintain records and reports to meet recruitment goals within established timelines.

Qualifications

• High school diploma and administrative experience.
• Knowledge of HR laws, regulations, policies and procedures.
• Strong data entry and document management skills.

Responsibilities

• Screen applicants and maintain applicant statuses in the ATS.
• Process new hire paperwork in accordance with internal policies.
• Refer qualified candidates to hiring managers via the ATS.
• Ensure vacancy announcements are accurate and up to date in the ATS.
• Coordinate background checks and reference checks as needed.
• Maintain candidate communication during pre-employment.
• Generate reports and logs related to candidate statuses.
