Job summary

ALVEST in Windsor, CT is seeking an HR Generalist to maintain our HRIS, ensure accurate employee data, and provide day-to-day HR support for staff and managers.

The role combines HRIS administration with general HR duties, acting as a key resource for HR operations across the organization. You will handle onboarding, employee records, audits, and payroll-related inquiries while upholding confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field preferred.
• 3–5 years of HRIS administration and/or HR generalist experience.
• Experience with HRIS and timekeeping/payroll systems.
• Strong understanding of HR practices and confidential data handling.
• Proficiency with Excel and Microsoft Office.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, with strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Maintain HRIS data accuracy and confidential employee records.
• Process employee changes: hires, transfers, promotions, terminations, pay changes.
• Support onboarding, HRIS setup, and orientation coordination.
• Assist payroll with HR data, deductions, and timekeeping queries.
• Run HR reports, audits, and compliance-related tasks.
• Respond to employee questions on policies, benefits, and payroll.
