Job summary

American Greetings is seeking an HR Generalist to assist with the daily operations of the Human Resources Department. The role supports employee relations, training and development, compensation, policy development, benefits administration and HRIS among other HR functions.

You will manage staffing and onboarding for the facility and interact daily with employees and managers to support a positive work environment.

Qualifications

• Requires 1–4 years of HR Generalist or related managerial experience.
• Recent college graduates are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Assists with day-to-day operations of the HR department.
• Supports employee relations and staff development initiatives.
• Manages employee orientation and recordkeeping.
• Interprets company policy and union contracts to ensure consistent application.
• Provides guidance to operations on HR topics.
• Supports safety, wellness and compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
• Participates in union negotiations, mediations and grievances as needed.
• Prepares to assume higher responsibility.
