Hilliard Law in Corpus Christi, TX is seeking a Human Resources Generalist to support daily HR functions including recruitment, benefits management, payroll processing, leave management, and policy enforcement. You will work with the management team to ensure compliance and effective staff organization.

The role requires handling HR programs, onboarding, performance reviews, and employee relations while maintaining ADP HRIS data.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, or related field preferred.
• At least 5 years of human resource experience preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
• Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations; integrity and confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Reviews, tracks, and documents compliance with training, policies, and work assessments; manages time and attendance including PTO and remote timesheets.
• Recruits, interviews, and facilitates hiring; collaborates with managers to define required skills.
• Conducts background checks and employee eligibility verifications.
• Implements new hire orientation and employee recognition programs.
• Administers HR programs: onboarding, compensation, benefits, leave; performance and talent management.
• Handles inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors and escalates when needed.
• Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
• Maintains knowledge of HR trends, best practices, and employment law changes.
• Assists with payroll processing and HRIS data entry (ADP).
• Participates in annual programs like United Way, evaluations, open enrollment, and internships.
