Job summary

Subaru of Indiana Automotive, Inc. is seeking a Human Resources Generalist focused on recruitment to partner with management across the organization.

You will handle employee relations, onboarding, policy interpretation, and data‑driven talent acquisition to support our salaried and administrative associates. This role emphasizes building a best‑in‑class HR program, managing KPI metrics, and coordinating training while ensuring compliance with applicable laws.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in HR or related field and 2+ years of relevant experience
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Advanced Excel skills
• Knowledge of HR policies, laws, and HRIS
• Critical thinking and problem solving abilities
• Ability to prioritize work under pressure and tight deadlines

Responsibilities

• Lead and support employee relations and inquiries for salaried/administrative staff
• Interpret and apply HR policies for the workforce
• Develop and maintain HRIS and provide workforce data
• Coordinate management training on interviews, hiring, onboarding, reviews
• Oversee onboarding and new associate orientation
• Monitor morale and culture; report improvements to leadership
• Develop recruitment strategies and manage end‑to‑end talent acquisition
• Source and screen candidates using data-driven insights
• Handle harassment investigations and disciplinary actions
• Maintain personnel records and job descriptions
• Participate in budget and team meetings
• Stay current with HR best practices
