Job summary

Circuit Court of Cook County, Illinois, is seeking a Personnel Analyst III - HR Generalist to assist in recruitment, manage the applicant tracking system, screen candidates, schedule interviews, and support offers and onboarding.

You will develop staffing plans, prepare HR reports, administer pre‑employment testing and I-9 verification, assist with payroll documentation, maintain confidential records, and provide administrative support to the HR team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred.
• Familiarity with human resource information systems and payroll systems preferred.
• Excellent customer service delivery.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Ability to interact professionally with court personnel, court users, and the public.
• Computer skills, including typing and creating documents and spreadsheets in Word and Excel.
• Ability to multi-task.

Responsibilities

• Assist in recruitment activities: posting descriptions, ATS management, phone screening, scheduling interviews, reference checks, offers and onboarding.
• Assist with ongoing development and execution of recruiting plans.
• Assist with building a qualified candidate pool for high turnover roles.
• Provide regular staffing reports to management.
• Research and recommend new candidate sources.
• Maintain employment application information spreadsheets.
• Administer clerical skills testing as needed.
• Assist with FMLA case management.
• Assist with pre-employment testing, new hire orientation, and I-9/EEV and benefits documentation.
• Assist with unemployment hearing documentation and witness participation.
• Provide payroll processing documentation guidance.
• Create and maintain spreadsheets, databases, and policy documents.
• Maintain confidentiality and assist with discipline administration.
• Handle AOIC probation applications and general HR duties.
• Perform receptionist duties and order HR supplies.
• Process identification badge appointments for new hires and existing staff.
• Data entry and run reports as directed.
• Provide workers’ compensation administration.
• Assist with labor relations and confidential matters.
