Job summary

Smithfield Foods is seeking an HR professional to join the Human Resources team in supporting recruiting, staffing, and employee relations. This role will coordinate the onboarding process, maintain records, and collaborate with business leaders to meet hiring requirements.

We value teamwork, strong communication, and a proactive approach to talent management. A Bachelor’s degree and 2+ years of HR experience are required, with relocation options available for the right candidate.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university in Human Resources, Business Management, or related field and 2+ years relevant experience.
• Bilingual; ability to work well with others in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Ability to be respectful, approachable and team oriented while building strong working relationships and a positive work environment.

Responsibilities

• Create and manage recruitment initiatives to fill exempt and non-exempt roles across Smithfield Hog Production.
• Partner with operational leaders to match talent with current and future opportunities.
• Maintain employee files and HR paperwork, including onboarding and benefits documentation.
• Coordinate new hire orientation and onboarding activities; administer ATS and HR data.
• Support employee relations, performance management processes, and training programs.
