Job summary

Sylvania in Borger, TX is seeking a Human Resources Generalist to support daily HR operations and serve employees and administrators with accurate, confidential HR guidance. You will assist with recruitment, onboarding, benefits, attendance, and personnel records while maintaining high levels of customer service.

This Non-Exempt position reports to the HR Coordinator and requires strong knowledge of HR practices, data management, and compliance with district policies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HR or related field preferred or relevant; TASBO certification required within 1 year.
• Two years of HR, payroll, benefits, administrative, or related experience preferred.
• Public school or governmental HR experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with recruitment and hiring, including posting vacancies and onboarding.
• Coordinate with supervisors on vacancies, hires, transfers, and personnel actions.
• Maintain accurate employee information in HR systems and ensure timely updates.
• Assist with benefits enrollment, leave administration, and related records.
• Prepare HR correspondence and support annual updates of handbooks and procedures.
• Ensure confidentiality and compliance with district HR policies.
