Job summary

ABRAMS, a landmark New York publishing house, is seeking an HR Generalist to join the People Team. You’ll manage benefits, payroll support, recruiting, employee relations, and HR administration in a hybrid in-office role in New York, NY.

The ideal candidate has 2–5 years HR experience, a Bachelor's degree, and strong communication, confidentiality, and organizational skills. The position offers competitive benefits and a base salary of $65,000–$70,000.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
• 2–5 years of progressive Human Resources experience.
• Experience supporting benefits administration, payroll, recruiting, and employee relations.
• Working knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices.
• Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining confidentiality.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.

Responsibilities

• Benefits administration liaison with vendors and employees.
• Payroll processing and accuracy checks.
• Full-cycle recruitment support for various positions.
• Employee relations support and issue escalation.
• HR reporting and analytics to leadership.
• Onboarding and offboarding coordination and documentation.
• HR policy administration and compliance support.
• Maintain HRIS and personnel files.
