Job summary

Nippon Paint Automotive Americas Inc. is seeking an HR Generalist to provide hands-on support to employees, supervisors, and the HR Manager across a range of HR functions in a manufacturing setting.

You will assist with onboarding, attendance and leave administration, benefits, performance management, training, HRIS administration, and compliance, while ensuring confidentiality and contributing to employee engagement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred; equivalent experience may be considered.
• 3+ years of HR experience preferred, ideally in manufacturing or industrial settings.
• Working knowledge of employee relations, attendance, leaves, benefits, performance, and HR compliance.
• Experience with HRIS systems; Paycom experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a resource to employees and managers regarding HR policies, workplace concerns, and employee relations.
• Assist with investigations, coaching, performance management, and documentation.
• Support onboarding, I-9, personnel files, and employee status changes.
• Assist with attendance, FMLA, disability leaves, and benefits enrollment.
• Maintain HRIS data accuracy and confidentiality of employee information.
• Coordinate training programs and support performance review processes.
• Support employee engagement, recognition programs, and HR initiatives.
• Contribute to audits, policy updates, and HR projects as needed.
