Job summary

Theuniversityunion is seeking a on-site HR/payroll administrator to support Ellis County Human Resources. You will handle bi-weekly payroll, attendance records, and benefits assistance with attention to confidentiality.

Ideal candidates have 1–3 years of HR/payroll experience, strong data entry skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. This is a full-time, on-site role with standard county hours.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor’s degree or some college credit is preferred.
• One to three years of human resources, payroll, benefit administration, or related administrative work required.

Responsibilities

• Processes payroll and maintains payroll records and deductions.
• Coordinates and maintains leave records and tracking (FMLA, Workers’ Comp).
• Assists with benefit administration, enrollment and bill reconciliation.
• Onboarding and offboarding support, including new hire paperwork.
• Prepares year-end payroll processing and related reports (W-2s, ACA, KPERS).
• Generates payroll and HR reports and supports audits and compliance.
