Job summary

Empire Livestock LLC. is seeking an HR Generalist to assist the HR team with payroll, recruitment, onboarding, and employee relations at our Lansdale location. You will handle confidential information, coordinate benefits, and ensure compliance with employment laws.

The role requires 1–3 years of HR experience, a high school diploma or equivalent, and strong MS Office skills. This on-site position offers growth within a collaborative team and exposure to full HR scope.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Undergraduate degree and/or HR course work preferred.
• 1 to 3 years of human resources experience, preferably in a generalist role.
• Certification and/or License – may be required during course of employment.

Responsibilities

• Administer payroll processing, tracking, auditing, transmitting, and correcting payroll transactions.
• Perform recruiting activities for the location, including resume screening and scheduling interviews.
• Assist the HR team and management to identify sourcing strategies and tactics to support staffing needs.
• Coordinate recruitment and onboarding of temporary employees with staffing agencies per location needs.
• Coordinate travel for candidates and submit interview expense reports.
• Assist with or facilitate the new hire onboarding process.
• Coordinate new employee orientation and ensure paperwork (tax docs, I-9, E-verify) is complete.
• Serve as liaison for employee benefits questions and enrollment.
• Submit terminations and employee changes to payroll promptly.
• Facilitate leave management and ensure smooth payroll/benefits transactions.
• Maintain employee files and documentation; track missing items as needed.
• Respond to HR inquiries and provide background info to management.
• Coordinate internal communications and postings.
• Maintain employment law postings at the location.
• Support employee engagement and recognition events.
• Coordinate training activities and attend monthly DairyU coordinator meetings.
• Complete unemployment claims in required timeframe.
