Job summary

US Farathane is seeking a detail-oriented HR Generalist to support payroll processing, recruiting, onboarding, and employee leaves at our Austin, TX facility. This hands-on role focuses on hourly and salaried staff in a fast-paced automotive manufacturing environment.

The position requires 2–5 years of HR experience, a Bachelor’s degree, and strong knowledge of FMLA, FLSA, and ADA. You will partner with EHS and HR Manager to ensure compliance, accurate HR records, and a positive workplace

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field, and/or equivalent professional experience.
• 2–5 years of HR experience, preferably in manufacturing or automotive environment.
• Experience with payroll processing, recruiting, and leave administration.
• Experience supporting high-volume, hourly workforce populations.
• Knowledge of employment laws including FMLA, FLSA, ADA, and other applicable regulations.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism.
• Proficiency with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Process weekly payroll for hourly employees.
• Review timecards for accuracy and resolve discrepancies with supervisors.
• Coordinate payroll changes including new hires, terminations and wage adjustments.
• Maintain payroll records and ensure compliance with policies and wage/hour laws.
• Respond to HR questions on pay, deductions, timekeeping, benefits, and relations.
• Support compliance with employment laws, policies, and HR procedures.
• Maintain attendance records and prepare disciplinary write-ups as needed.
• Assist with pre-employment processes and HR metrics/reports.
