Job summary

CFS is partnering with a respected nonprofit in Baltimore to hire a Human Resources Generalist who will support its people strategy and help build a diverse, high-performing workforce. The role requires collaborating with leadership to implement HR programs, recruit talent, and ensure compliant policies across the organization.

The position is 100% on-site in Baltimore, MD, offering a salary range of $70,000 to $90,000 depending on experience. Notary is a plus but not required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive HR experience, ideally in public sector or nonprofit environments.
• Experience onboarding new hires and managing recruitment processes.
• Ability to design and maintain HR policies in line with laws and public-sector requirements.

Responsibilities

• Partner with leadership to develop HR strategies that support workforce planning and organizational growth.
• Manage full-cycle recruitment, sourcing diverse talent, onboarding, and ensuring a strong candidate experience.
• Design and maintain HR policies and employee handbooks compliant with laws.
