Job summary

Rockstar is seeking an HR Generalist to support day-to-day HR operations across multiple portfolio companies, based in Carmel, IN. You will handle recruiting coordination, benefits administration support, onboarding/offboarding, payroll coordination, and contract management in a fast-paced environment.

You will collaborate with the Head of HR and leadership, ensuring accurate HRIS data, confidentiality, and timely compliance with I-9, wage/hour, and OSHA requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with focus in HR or related field.
• 3+ years in an HR generalist/coordinator role; PHR/SHRM-CP preferred.
• Experience with benefits administration and open enrollment data.
• Full-cycle recruiting experience; manufacturing/sales/engineering background helpful.
• Knowledge of payroll processes, benefits, and core HR compliance (I-9, FMLA, ADA, EEOC, OSHA).
• HRIS/ATS familiarity; ADP and Paylocity experience preferred.
• Experience supporting W-2 and 1099 workers; audits for 401k/payroll.
• Ability to learn new HR software and AI tools; maintain confidentiality.
• Strong organizational skills and clear written/verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate recruiting for open roles; assist with offers and logistics.
• Support benefits enrollment, questions, and open enrollment cadence.
• Own onboarding/offboarding, paperwork, and payroll updates coordination.
• Assist payroll coordination for employees and 1099 contractors with HRIS partners.
• Manage HRIS changes, coding updates, and payroll tax setup by state/local codes.
• Support HR reporting, headcount tracking, and ad hoc projects.
• Maintain accurate personnel files and confidential HR data.
• Assist with compliance tasks: 5500, I-9, postings; OSHA tracking as needed.
• Provide general admin support and office duties as required.
