Job summary

First Solar Inc. seeks an HR Generalist I to support mobility, immigration and site-specific HR needs for US locations. You will partner with HR and Operations management to ensure compliant workforce mobility across corporate and manufacturing sites.

The role includes employee relations, onboarding, policy implementation and employment law compliance, requiring strong communication and organizational skills. This is a US-based position with standard business hours.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in HR or business required.
• 1–2 years HR experience preferred.
• Experience with employee relations in manufacturing preferred.
• Knowledge of HRIS, ADP and Kronos preferred.
• PHR or SHRM-CP preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary HR contact for immigration and visa inquiries.
• First HR contact for assigned business sites.
• Support leadership with reviews, audits and assessments of immigration data.
• Collect, analyze and report HR and immigration data.
• Coordinate with immigration/tax vendors on data/documentation.
• Maintain confidential personnel and immigration records.
• Contribute to team objectives and goals.
• Monitor compliance with employment and immigration laws.
• Analyze workforce data and provide insights for decision-making.
