Job summary

First Solar, Inc. is seeking a Human Resources Manager to lead strategic HR functions, ensuring compliance with US laws and First Solar's Code of Conduct.

The role covers recruiting, employee relations, compensation processes, benefits, training and communications across the site. The ideal candidate has 7+ years in HR, including 3 years managing teams or as a Lead at First Solar, with a Bachelor's degree and preferably a Master's, PHR/SPHR.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years total experience in Human Resources required.
• 3 years' experience managing HR professionals or 1 year of experience as a Lead - Human Resources at First Solar required.
• Strong project management.
• Bachelor's degree in relevant discipline required.
• Master's degree in relevant discipline preferred.
• PHR or SPHR certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Establish defined HR processes, policies, and practices with regional focus and align with Corporate HR.
• Lead HR projects with national scope and site-specific implementations.
• Act as strategic business partner for assigned business areas and sites.
• Provide HR presence for employees and managers on HR-related issues and questions.
• Partner with global business partners to ensure budget adherence and headcount cost allocation.
• Address employee relations issues including investigations and corrective actions.
• Support performance appraisal, salary administration, succession planning, org design, and transactional HR processes.
• Prepare and deliver internal HR communications on HR topics.
• Collaborate on team goals planning with HR management.
• Gather and analyze HR metrics and prepare reports.
• Monitor industry trends and employment legislation to ensure regional compliance.
• Maintain confidentiality of all associates and company information.
• Other duties as assigned.
