Job summary

O&K American Corp. in Chicago, IL seeks an HR Generalist to support day-to-day HR needs at the Chicago plant and provide HR support to the Seymour, IN plant. Responsibilities include full-cycle recruiting, onboarding, payroll/benefits support, and employee relations.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of HR experience, ADP proficiency, and strong communication skills. This role operates in a production office environment with comprehensive benefits and opportunities to contribute to safety

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in a related HR role or equivalent.
• Experience with ADP is required.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office products; strong communication skills.
• Foundational knowledge of HR processes and confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Full-cycle recruiting, interviews, staffing levels, and new hire paperwork.
• Partner with agencies for hard-to-fill roles and onboarding.
• Support payroll/benefits and administer attendance systems.
• Assist with employee relations, safety, and HR projects as needed.
