Job summary

SBM Offshore is seeking an HR Generalist in the United States to coordinate employee relations, training, performance management, onboarding, policy implementation, recruitment, retention, and compliance with laws and SBM procedures.

The role offers a hybrid-onsite schedule with travel to sites as needed to provide HR coverage and support. English/Spanish bilingualism is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Management or related field with 2-4 years HR Generalist experience.
• Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Maintains knowledge of legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting HR functions and ensures policies, procedures, and reporting are in compliance.
• Coaches and assists managers with employee relations issues, ensuring alignment with SBM and CBA policies and procedures.
• Drive people engagement through training of site management team on engagement strategies, regular site visits, and use of the mobile app where available.
• Draft, execute, review, and maintain records of personnel transactions such as hires, promotions, transfers, performance reviews, and terminations.
• Champion talent review processes and prepare employee separation notices, RIF actions and related documentation.
• Conduct exit interviews to determine reasons behind separations and train managers on handling separations.
