Qualifications

• Associates Degree or post-secondary education required.
• Strong knowledge of federal and provincial/state employment law and HR disciplines.
• Experience advising managers on employee relations and development.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.

Responsibilities

• Respond to staff inquiries/complaints and resolve employee relations issues.
• Promote organizational values and diversity; partner with leaders to foster an engaged work environment.
• Ensure compliance with employment laws and policies; participate in hearings or mediation if needed.
• Provide consultative advice on performance management and leadership development.
• Assist with recruitment and university/college co-op programs as needed.
• Adhere to policies and procedures and support HR initiatives.
