MWH Constructors seeks a Human Resources Generalist – Employee & Community Relations to join our onsite team in Gresham, Oregon. You will support employee relations, address community concerns, and ensure compliance training across projects.

The role requires a Bachelor's in HR or related field and at least 3 years of HR experience, with strong communication and travel ability to project sites as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HR or related field; equivalence considered.
• Minimum of 3 years in HR, employee relations, community relations, or related field.
• Experience addressing employee concerns, workplace conflicts, and sensitive personnel matters.
• Ability to investigate complaints, document findings, and recommend resolutions.
• Strong interpersonal skills to communicate with employees, leadership, and community stakeholders.
• Working knowledge of federal and state employment laws, HR policies, and best practices.
• Experience administering compliance training and tracking completion requirements.
• Strong organizational skills to manage multiple priorities and detailed records.
• Willingness to travel to company offices, sites, and community locations.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a primary contact for community concerns related to operations and projects.
• Receive, document, investigate, and coordinate resolution of community concerns with project teams.
• Maintain professional relationships with community members and local stakeholders.
• Coordinate timely communication and follow-up on community concerns.
• Track community complaints, resolutions, and recurring issues to identify trends.
• Collaborate with project teams to identify potential community impacts and response strategies.
• Escalate high-risk matters to leadership as needed.
• Support initiatives reinforcing responsible operations and positive community relations.
• Serve as a trusted resource for employees and managers on workplace concerns and policies.
• Assist in resolving employee complaints, conflicts, and investigations.
• Provide guidance on performance management and policy application.
• Support development of performance improvement plans and documentation.
• Assist with disciplinary actions and separations in collaboration with HR leadership.
• Promote fair and respectful treatment across offices and field operations.
• Maintain confidential records of employee relations matters.
