Job summary

MWH Constructors is seeking a Human Resources Generalist - Employee & Community Relations to support employee experience, address community concerns, and ensure policy compliance. This role is based full-time onsite in Gresham, Oregon, working with leadership and operations to deliver timely, professional resolutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HR, business administration, communications, or related field.
• Minimum 3 years in HR, employee relations, community relations, or related field.
• Experience addressing and resolving employee concerns and workplace conflicts.
• Experience investigating complaints and documenting findings.
• Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills with stakeholders.
• Knowledge of federal and state employment laws and HR policies.
• Experience administering compliance training programs and tracking completion.
• Travel to company offices and project sites as needed.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary contact for community concerns related to operations and projects.
• Coordinate resolution of community concerns with project teams.
• Maintain professional relationships with community members and local stakeholders.
• Ensure timely communication and follow-up with community members on concerns.
• Track complaints and trends to identify improvement opportunities.
• Proactively identify potential community impacts with project teams.
• Escalate sensitive or unresolved community matters to leadership.
• Support initiatives reinforcing responsible operations and positive community relations.
• Attend and contribute to HR-related program activities.
• Support onboarding, onboarding, and employee lifecycle processes.
