Job summary

ID Logistics, a dynamic logistics company, seeks an on-site HR Generalist for our Kenosha, WI facility. You will guide HR activities for a growing site, ensuring compliance, recruitment, and employee relations while partnering with leadership to drive culture and performance.

The role requires 2+ years HR experience in manufacturing/workplace settings, strong communication, and the ability to manage multiple priorities. The site operates with flexibility to cover days, nights, and weekends.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent education and work experience.
• 2+ years of HR Specialist experience in warehouse/manufacturing.
• Excellent oral and written communication with facilitation and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to handle sensitive matters with discretion and sound judgment.
• Strong organizational skills with ability to manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Identify legal requirements and government reporting for HR functions.
• Partner with Compensation to analyze wage data and determine pay plans.
• Recruit, interview, tests, and select associates for vacancies.
• Coordinate new hire and new leader orientations.
• Coordinate training and cross-training in facilities.
• Assist with events to increase morale and culture.
• Ensure leadership is trained on performance management activities.
• Investigate and advise on associate relations issues.
• Prepare notices, documentation, and conduct exit interviews.
• Prepare reports to reduce absenteeism and turnover.
• Represent the organization at hearings when needed.
• Process temporary labor requests for facilities.
• Coordinate associate events with operations.
• Assist GM and site leaders with HR admin tasks.
• Observe and enforce safety rules at the site.

Work Location

On-site: Kenosha, WI

Work Schedule

This site operates 24/7, making it essential to have HR presence on-site for all shifts. The standard work schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:30 PM. Additionally, weekend coverage is shared among all on-site HR staff on a rotating basis each week. Flexibility with work schedule for days, nights, and weekends is required.

Compensation/Benefits

Attractive annual salary of $70,000-$80,000 plus yearly bonus with benefits including PTO, sick time, corporate holidays, medical, dental and vision insurance, 401(k) matching, and more.

Key Responsibilities

• Identifies legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting human resources functions and ensures policies, procedures, and reporting are in compliance.
• Partners with Compensation team to conduct wage surveys within labor market or analyze wage and salary data to determine competitive compensation plan.
• Recruits, interviews, tests, and selects associates to fill vacant positions.
• Coordinates new hire and new leader orientations.
• Coordinates training and cross-training activities within facilities.
• Assist with hosting events designed to increase morale and company culture.
• Ensure facility leadership is fully trained and is up to date on all performance management activities (including but not limited to reviews, goal setting, development planning, etc.).
• Partners with corporate HR team to formally and informally investigate and advise management in appropriate resolution of associate relations issues.
• Writes and responds to inquiries regarding policies, procedures, and programs.
• Prepares associate separation notices and related documentation, and conducts exit interviews to determine reasons behind separations.
• Prepares reports and recommends procedures to reduce absenteeism and turnover.
• Represents organization at personnel-related hearings and investigations when needed.
• Processes temporary labor requests to fill needs within facilities.
• Coordinate associate events with operations team.
• Assist with administrative functions for General Manager and other site operations leaders and Human Resources.
• Observe all company safety rules and assist in enforcement as appropriate.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education and work experience required.
• 2+ years of experience as an HR Specialist, preferably within a warehouse or manufacturing environment
• Excellent oral and written communication skills, with strong facilitation and interpersonal abilities
• Ability to handle sensitive matters with discretion and sound judgment, supported by strong investigative, documentation, and critical‑thinking skills
• Strong organizational abilities and demonstrated capability to manage multiple priorities independently
• Ability to influence without authority and build trust with leaders and employees
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with ADP platforms including ADP WFN and ADP RM helpful.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
• Experience in a HAZMAT facility and or fulfillment center is strongly preferred.
