Job summary

Washington County in West Bend seeks a Human Resources Generalist to support benefit administration, recruitment, employee relations, performance management, training, and HR compliance for all County employees.

Requirements include a Bachelor’s degree in HR management or related field, at least two years of HR admin experience, and a valid Wisconsin driver's license. Pay is based on experience and a comprehensive benefits package is offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in human resources management, business administration, or closely related field
• At least two years of Human Resource administration work experience
• Must possess a valid Wisconsin driver's license

Responsibilities

• Benefit Administration: Oversees all aspects of employee benefits, enrollment, terminations, claims support, HRIS updates, and monthly billing reconciliation.
• Employee Wellness: Develop and coordinate health and wellness initiatives and annual Wellness Fair for County employees.
• Recruitment: Oversees recruitment activity across departments and conducts New Hire Orientation.
• Employee Engagement: Support employee experience through engagement activities and HR programs.
• Employee Relations: Provide guidance to supervisors on policies, conduct workplace investigations, and ensure compliance with laws.
• Performance Management: Assist supervisors with performance actions and coaching.
• Employee Training: Assist with training presentations and topics.
• Compliance: Maintain HR compliance records.
• Administration: Answer HR questions and prepare benefit invoices.
