Job summary

Hirschbach Motor Lines, LLC is seeking an HR Generalist to support daily HR operations, focusing on benefits, leave administration, payroll-related compliance, and HRIS management. You will be a first point of contact for employees and partner with HR Business Partners to support organizational changes and investigations.

The role covers employee engagement, communications, and education events, with in-office responsibilities and minimal travel to field locations as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in human resources or equivalent.
• 1-2 years of relevant experience in administrative roles, preferably in human resources or related setting.
• Experience with HRIS software may be required or preferred.

Responsibilities

• Answer incoming HR phone calls and provide first-level employee support.
• Serve as primary intake for employee relations concerns; document and escalate.
• Support low-risk workplace investigations, including documentation and interview coordination.
• Coordinate benefits enrollment and changes; respond to benefit inquiries.
• Handle leave of absence processes and liaison with external leave administrator.
• Enter and maintain employee data in the HRIS; ensure accuracy.
• Maintain HR content on internal platforms and update weekly.
• Plan and execute company-wide employee engagement and culture events.
• Collaborate with HR Business Partners on restructures and departmental updates.
• Other duties as assigned.
