Job description

Job Title: HR Generalist I

The HR Generalist I is responsible for managing the employee life cycle, including recruiting, hiring, training, rewarding, and developing employees. The role involves handling employment-related processes and policies, supporting the HR team in various functions such as employee relations, data entry, and employee engagement. This position provides HR support to a major business unit or functional area and implements HR processes effectively.

Expected Duties:
  1. Assist the Human Resources Business Partner team with daily HR activities, including policy implementation, performance management, and organizational development.
  2. Address employee concerns and grievances, conduct investigations, and ensure compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
  3. Maintain accurate employee records in the HRIS system, including new hires, terminations, and employment status changes, ensuring compliance with applicable laws.
  4. Develop and implement employee engagement initiatives to foster a positive work environment and improve satisfaction, including overseeing onboarding and new hire orientation.
  5. Coordinate new hire orientation to introduce company culture, policies, and procedures, and handle tasks such as generating offer letters, background checks, and employment verifications.
  6. Assist in delivering training programs for employees and managers.
  7. Maintain up-to-date employee records, handle employment inquiries, and communicate sensitive information appropriately.
Qualifications: Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Ability to exercise judgment within defined procedures to determine appropriate actions.
  • Ability to build productive relationships internally and externally to resolve issues collaboratively.
  • Bachelor’s degree with 0-2 years of related experience or equivalent work experience.

Salary range: $64,500 - $91,100, determined by experience and location.
