Job summary

W-Industries is seeking a Human Resources Generalist to manage onboarding, orientation, and exit processes while upholding company policies. You will audit HRIS data, administer benefits and performance plans, and conduct background checks.

Responsibilities include handling employee relations, policy development, and ensuring legal compliance across federal, state, and local laws. A degree and relevant HR experience are preferred, with Paylocity and DISA familiarity valuable.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
  • PHR or SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) preferred.
  • If you have a degree: Proven experience as an HR Generalist for a minimum of 1 year.
  • Experience of 5 years+ in HR with full life cycle management will be taken into consideration in lieu of a degree.

Description

The Human Resources Generalist is responsible for completing a variety of tasks to support the daily operations of the HR department. Responsible for the day-to-day management of personnel, communications, policy administration, onboarding new staff, and enforcing company policies and practices.

Requirements
  • Handle all administrative tasks for onboarding, new hire orientation, and exit interviews, including entering data into HR information systems and auditing for accuracy and compliance.
  • Assist in administering compensation, benefit and employee performance plans.
  • Conduct background checks and employee eligibility verifications.
  • Works with operations to resolve employee relations issues. Investigates, counsels, and assists in resolving disputes, and disciplinary matters.
  • Manage inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
  • Supports the development and administration of programs, policies, and processes to facilitate employee and organizational development.
  • May assist with constructive and timely performance evaluations.
  • Ensure legal compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
