Job summary

The Human Resource Generalist at Baker Construction is responsible for supporting recruiting, onboarding, retention, and compliance across the assigned Region. You will collaborate with Regional Managers and Corporate HR to advance effective people programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HR Management or related field and 4 years HR experience, or a Master's in HR Management, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• PHR or SPHR certification preferred; construction industry experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist Regional HR Manager with recruiting and hiring efforts.
• Manage onboarding processes for new co-workers.
• Promote retention through positive employee relations.
• Participate in HR continuous improvement activities.
• Support compliance and HR department initiatives.

Summary

The Human Resource Generalist assists the Regional HR Manager in implementing processes and programs that advance effective recruiting and retention of the company's most important asset (the co-worker) within his/her assigned Region. This is accomplished by collaborating with Managers within the Region, as well as Corporate HR. The Generalist plays an important role in ensuring compliance.

Requirements
