Job summary

The Human Resource Generalist at Baker Concrete Construction, Inc. supports the Regional HR Manager by implementing recruiting, onboarding, retention and compliance initiatives across the region.

This role collaborates with regional and Corporate HR, oversees direct reports, participates in training, and helps ensure safety and adherence to company policies while supporting a diverse workforce.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in HR Management or related field and 4 years of HR experience; or a Master's Degree in HR Management; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Professional Certification in Human Resource Management (PHR or SPHR) preferred.
• Prior experience in construction preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist Regional HR Manager with recruiting and onboarding.
• Promote retention through positive co-worker relations.
• Support compliance and HR continuous improvement activities.
• Oversee the work of direct reports and participate in training/certifications.

Summary

The Human Resource Generalist assists the Regional HR Manager in implementing processes and programs that advance effective recruiting and retention of the company's most important asset (the co-worker) within his/her assigned Region. This is accomplished by collaborating with Managers within the Region, as well as Corporate HR. The Generalist plays an important role in ensuring compliance.

Compensation for this position is expected to range from $$88,333 to $95,000 annually.

Actual compensation offered may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, experience, education, training, skills, certifications, geographic location, market conditions, and business needs.

In addition to base compensation, eligible co-workers may participate in company-sponsored benefits, which may include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, retirement savings plans, and other company-sponsored benefit programs, subject to plan terms and eligibility requirements.
