Qualified candidates will have a Bachelor's degree and 5–7 years in HR, with strong communication skills and proficiency in MS Office; ADP/HRIS experience is preferred.

  • PHR certification preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Advises employees and managers on interpretation of personnel policies and procedures.

  • Coordinates payroll processes and time records, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Performs data entry for training, PTO, payroll, benefits and HRIS.

Salary Range: $70,000.00 To $87,036.00 Annually

JOB TITLE: HR Generalist

JOB TITLE: Human Resources Generalist

LOCATION: Spokane

SUMMARY

The HR Generalist coordinates implementation of services, policies, and programs that will enrich an employee-oriented, high-performance culture that emphasizes empowerment, quality, productivity, fun, and the ongoing development of a superior workforce. The HR Generalist reports to the HR Director with a dotted-line to and strong partnership with the Plant Manager.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/DUTIES

  • Advises employees and managers on the interpretation of personnel policies, programs, and procedures.
  • Administers benefits programs such as life, health, dental and disability insurances, retirement plans, leave of absence, and employee assistance and work with employeesand vendors to resolve claim issues.
  • Conducts and benefit orientations (core and retirement).
  • Participates in coordination of annual open enrollment.
  • Coordinates annual wellness programs, hearing testing, flu shots, etc.
  • Performs data entry related to training, PTO, payroll, benefits, and HRIS.
  • Coordinates processes related to payroll ensuring that payroll and time records are submitted timely and accurately; maintains child support benefit orders for payroll processing.
  • Analyzes pay data and enters pay grade changes in the HRIS system.
  • Analyzes and provides advice to supervisors and managers on methods and approaches to resolve employee work problems and reviews routine discipline.
  • Conducts routine employee relations investigations and proposes resolution based on findings.
  • Maintains knowledge of legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting human resources functions and ensures policies, procedures, and reporting are complying.
  • Facilitates and plans company-wide committee and event planning.
  • Administers worker's compensation and OSHA 300 Log reporting/submissions.
  • Administers and facilitates Shared Work program.
  • Develops and proposes improvement to policies, programs, and procedures to improve the effectiveness of human resources and operations.
  • Adheres to safe work practices and contributes to the evolution of the health, safety, and environmental program and culture.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's Degree from a four-year college or university or an equivalent combination of formal education, on-the-job training, and/or work experience.
  • 5-7 years of experience in Human Resources.
  • S/PHR certification preferred.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
  • Must possess advanced abilities to run reports and analyze HR data.
  • HRIS experience required (ADP preferred).

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Ability to lift 25lbs with or without accommodations.
