As a Human Resources Generalist, you’ll partner with managers and employees on everything from hiring and onboarding to benefits, employee relations, and leave administration. Recruit and welcome talent: Manage full-cycle recruiting for retail and pharmacy positions, including interviews, seasonal hiring, onboarding, and new-hire orientation.
Support employees and managers: Provide guidance on employee relations, conflict resolution, coaching, and performance management. Visit locations as needed to support sensitive matters.
Make benefits easier to understand: Answer questions about medical, dental, 401(k), and disability plans, and coordinate open enrollment.
Manage leave and workplace claims: Administer FMLA, military, and medical leave; coordinate Workers' Compensation claims and return-to-work plans.
Maintain compliance and accuracy: Apply federal and multi-state employment requirements, maintain HR records, update job descriptions, and use payroll data to support decisions.
Strengthen culture and connection: Coordinate engagement and recognition programs and represent the organization at career fairs and community events.
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field.
At least 3 years of professional HR experience, including a strong recruiting background.
Working knowledge of federal and multi-state employment laws and regulations.
Strong communication skills and a thoughtful, fair approach to employee concerns.
Ability to manage competing priorities, meet deadlines, and exercise sound judgment.
Commitment to confidentiality and accurate recordkeeping.
Ability to visit work locations as needed and meet the role's physical requirements, including lifting or moving up to 50 pounds.
HR experience in a retail or pharmacy environment.
PHR or equivalent HR certification.
Proficiency with payroll systems and experience using HR data to identify improvements.
