Root & Bloom in Salisbury, MA is seeking an organized HR Generalist to join our Human Resources team. This onsite role supports the Salisbury headquarters and begins as a temporary-to-hire opportunity with potential for a long-term position.

The role balances recruiting, employee support, HR administration, and compliance. HR experience is preferred, but strong administrative candidates with attention to detail may be considered.

Qualifications

• Bilingual in English and Spanish is required.
• 2–5 years HR Generalist experience preferred.
• Bachelor's or Associate degree in HR, Business Admin, or related field preferred.
• Equivalent practical experience will be considered.
• Strong knowledge of employment and labor laws.
• Experience with recruiting, onboarding, employee relations, benefits admin, and performance management preferred.
• Manufacturing environment experience preferred.
• Payroll experience is a plus.
• HR certification is a plus.
• Strong MS Office skills expected.

Responsibilities

• Lead recruiting efforts and build candidate pipelines.
• Screen applicants and coordinate interviews with hiring managers.
• Manage onboarding and offboarding activities.
• Maintain employee records in the HRIS system.
• Administer employee benefits, leaves of absence, and accommodations.
• Coordinate annual open enrollment and benefits activities.
• Support employee relations by addressing questions and concerns.
• Coach managers on employee relations and performance management.
• Assist with performance improvement plans and employee development.
• Process background checks and state badging requirements.
• Assist with weekly payroll preparation.
• Ensure compliance with policies and employment laws.
• Partner with the Safety Committee to support a safe workplace.
• Assist with additional HR and admin projects as needed.

Recruiting Firm, Riderflex has been hired by our client, Root & Bloom, to find their HR Generalist.

Location: Salisbury, MA

Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours per week, onsite

Compensation:$35.00 to $40.00 per hour

Root & Bloom is seeking an organized, motivated, bilingual HR Generalist to join our Human Resources team. This is an onsite role supporting our Salisbury headquarters and is initially intended as a temporary-to-hire opportunity with the potential to become a long-term position.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with people, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and can balance recruiting, employee support, HR administration, and compliance. While HR experience is preferred, we are also open to candidates with strong administrative experience, exceptional attention to detail, and a willingness to learn.

What You'll Do

• Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
• Payroll experience is a plus.
• HR certification is a plus.
• Strong Microsoft Office skills, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment.
