Job summary

Manhattan Charter School on the Lower East Side, NYC, seeks a HR Generalist to support recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, and performance management across the network. The role will drive training and development, ensure compliance, and administer competitive benefits.

This is an on-site position requiring strong interpersonal skills and a professional HR background. The ideal candidate holds a BA in HR or related field, 3–5 years of HR experience, and SHRM-CP/PHR is preferred.

• Minimum of 3-5 years of HR experience, with understanding of HR practices and employment laws.
• Professional HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) preferred.

• Strong organizational and time management skills in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and HRIS systems.

The Human Resources Generalist will play a key role in supporting the Manhattan Charter School Network with HR functions, including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, training and development, compliance, and benefits administration. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HR practices and procedures, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

• Work Hours: 7:30am - 4:30pm each day, On-site
