Job summary

Veza is seeking an HR Generalist to support our Morgan Hill plant. This on-site role covers employee relations, onboarding, recruiting, and engagement with a clear path to evolve into an HR Business Partner (HRBP) role as you gain experience.

You'll work directly with plant leadership to own the employee experience, grow into broader HR responsibilities, and develop into a strategic partner over time, with a hands-on start in day-to-day HR operations at the plant.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience
• 0–3 years HR experience; manufacturing/plant environment a plus
• Strong interpersonal skills and sound judgment
• Organized and detail-oriented; able to manage multiple priorities
• Genuine interest in growing HR career; role designed to develop into HRBP
• Familiarity with HRIS/payroll systems a plus (Paylocity)

Responsibilities

• Serve as a trusted point of contact for employees and plant leadership on day-to-day HR matters
• Support employee relations, policy questions, and issue escalation
• Lead full-cycle recruiting for hourly and salaried roles at the plant
• Own the onboarding experience for new hires
• Support employee engagement initiatives, recognition, and culture efforts
• Maintain accurate employee records and ensure compliance with policy and employment law
• Partner with plant leadership on workforce needs and grow into broader HRBP role with exposure to workforce planning and leadership coaching

About the Role

We're looking for an HR Generalist to support our Morgan Hill plant, with a clear path to grow into an HR Business Partner (HRBP) role over time. This is an on-site, hands-on position for someone who wants to build a well-rounded HR career — starting with the fundamentals of employee relations, engagement, recruiting, and onboarding, and growing into broader strategic partnership with plant leadership as your experience deepens.

What You’ll Own

• Serve as a trusted, approachable point of contact for employees and plant leadership on day-to-day HR matters
• Support employee relations — helping resolve concerns, answering policy questions, and escalating issues appropriately
• Lead full-cycle recruiting for hourly and salaried roles at the plant, from job posting through offer
• Own the onboarding experience for new hires, ensuring a smooth and welcoming start
• Support employee engagement initiatives, recognition programs, and plant culture efforts
• Maintain accurate employee records and ensure compliance with company policy and applicable employment law
• Partner with plant leadership on workforce needs, and grow into a broader HRBP role as you develop — including exposure to workforce planning, performance management, and leadership coaching support

What You Bring

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience)
• 0–3 years of HR experience; manufacturing or plant environment experience a plus, but not required
• Strong interpersonal skills and sound judgment — you're comfortable having direct conversations and know when to ask for guidance
• Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• A genuine interest in growing your HR career — this role is designed to develop into an HRBP position over time
• Familiarity with HRIS/payroll systems a plus (we use Paylocity)
