Job summary

Adient US LLC is seeking an entry-level HR Generalist in Lansing, Michigan. This role supports employees with HR inquiries and manages transactions through the employee life cycle, while also focusing on improving HR processes.

The ideal candidate must be available for second shift work from 2:30 PM to 10:30 PM, Monday through Friday, and will be responsible for handling HR inquiries, conducting transactions, and assisting with HR projects.

Qualifications

• Entry-level HR Generalist role focusing on efficiency in HR service delivery.
• Preferred experience with Workday or similar ATS systems.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment is beneficial.

Responsibilities

JOB DESCRIPTION

Entry level HR Generalist role. Responsible for supporting employees with general HR inquiries, and managing transactions related to the complete life cycle of an employee. This role will identify opportunities to increase efficiency in service delivery by focusing on continuous improvement of HR processes.

Responsibilities

• Handle routine HR inquiries, managing to completion
• Conduct HR transactions including: orientation, leaves of absences, exit meetings, etc.
• Process HRIS transactions, ensuring data integrity and quality
• Serve as the primary point of contact for guidance on HR policies, processes and self-service tools to employees and managers, escalating when necessary to internal COEs and external resources
• Participate and assist with location events
• Assist with departmental HR projects and initiatives as needed
• Define, develop, and maintain concise documentation for procedures, work processes and reports
• Collect, analyze, and prepare visual HR related information such as the preparation of scorecards and dashboards as warranted
• Perform root-cause analysis using data, identify performance gaps and suggest process improvements that can streamline and improve customer service

Experience Preferred

• Experience working with Workday or similar ATS system
• Experienced with ADP pay system
• Has experience working in a manufacturing environment

Must be able to work 2nd shift 2:30pm - 10:30pm Monday through Friday
