Job summary

University of Wisconsin-Parkside is seeking an HR Generalist to provide broad HR support across recruitment, staffing, employee relations, personnel administration, and HR operations. This role assists employees and managers, coordinates hiring activities, processes HR transactions, maintains personnel records, and ensures compliance with university policies and procedures.

The position emphasizes service orientation, data integrity, and proactive issue resolution, with duties including

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree and 3+ years of HR experience are required.
  • Experience with Workday is preferred.
  • Knowledge of HR analytics is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Represents unit/program at institutional workshops, informational meetings, and training sessions.
  • Receives, responds to, and resolves employee questions and problems.
  • Executes and audits work transactions and changes adhering to established policies and procedures to meet anticipated deadlines.
  • Contributes to the development, implementation, interpretation, and revision of work unit Human Resources policies and procedures according to institutional and legal rules and regulations.
  • Provides consultation, performs analytics, and/or maintains personnel files, communications, and materials for work unit through various mediums.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources or related field
  • 3+ years of relevant experience working in Human Resources
