This position functions under the general direction of the Human Resource Manager. This position functions as a human resource consultant and HR business partner for assigned units of the University of Wisconsin - Stevens Point and operates in the Office of Human Resources (HR). HR promotes an atmosphere of vitality and well-being. This position works closely with other departments and their administration to service their employment needs. This position requires a working knowledge of employment laws. The HR Business Partner will demonstrate a proficient level of operating knowledge of state statutes, Board of Regents administrative code, University Handbook, and related policies, procedures, and processes; particularly as they relate to talent acquisition, equal employment opportunity, and affirmative action in hiring. This position must demonstrate exceptional customer service, maintain confidentiality, and foster an environment that is inclusive, trusting, respectful, and collegial.
