Job summary

MOHR Talent is seeking a Human Resources Generalist in Joliet, IL for in-person, full-time work. You will own HRIS, manage employee records, support hiring, onboarding, benefits, and compliance across multiple U.S. locations.

You will run HR reports, coordinate recruiting and interviews, handle I-9 verification, and assist with benefits and payroll data while maintaining confidential files and ensuring regulatory compliance. Travel to facilities may be required.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of HR generalist or coordinator experience.
• Multi-state or manufacturing and distribution experience preferred.
• Proficiency in HRIS systems (Paycom strongly preferred), Microsoft Office, and Google Workspace.
• Working knowledge of EEO, FMLA, ACA, I-9, and wage and hour laws.
• Strong organization, attention to detail, and written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the HRIS, keep employee records accurate, and process hires, terminations, promotions, transfers, and compensation changes
• Run HR reports and support data audits
• Post jobs, schedule interviews, coordinate with candidates, and support onboarding and orientations
• Complete I-9 verification and new hire setup
• Keep employee files organized, confidential, and compliant
• Support benefits enrollments, qualifying life events, and COBRA notices
• Audit timecards, monitor attendance, and prepare payroll data
• Maintain compliance documents, schedule training, and track completion
• Partner with HR managers across locations to keep processes consistent

Joliet, IL | In-Person, Mon-Fri 8:00-4:30 | $28 - $32 /hr | Full-Time

A well established and growing importer and distributor of international specialty foods, with a family-oriented team that cares about their people, is hiring a Human Resources Generalist to support HR operations across multiple U.S. locations.
