Job summary

Nucor, North America's largest steel and steel products manufacturer, invites an HR Generalist to Fort Payne, AL. You will administer payroll and benefits, onboard and offboard teammates, and support LOA, audits, and HR projects while upholding safety standards and the Nucor Way.

You will collaborate with teammates to ensure a positive employee experience, manage documentation, and assist with regulatory compliance in a fast-paced environment. This role emphasizes teamwork and safety.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in a related field or a minimum of two years of relevant work experience.
• Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Administer payroll and payroll taxes.
• Support benefits administration and enrollment activities.
• Assist with onboarding and offboarding processes.
• Support FMLA and LOA administration.
• Support teammate engagement initiatives and programs.
• Assist with HR audits, compliance activities, and reporting requirements.
• Support HR projects and other departmental initiatives as needed.

Basic Job Functions:

Perform a variety of HR duties and responsibilities while providing guidance and support to teammates in alignment with the Nucor Way. Serve as a resource for HR-related matters and help ensure a positive teammate’s experience.

Minimum Qualifications:
