Job summary

Kuert Concrete Inc. is seeking a Human Resources Generalist to support our workforce across multiple plants, including field assignments 30-40% of the time. You will partner with leaders to solve problems, coach performance, and uphold our culture.

The role emphasizes compliance with federal and state laws (FLSA, FMLA, ADA, Title VII), recruitment and onboarding, and maintaining confidential employee records. Experience with DOT-related files is a plus.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of HR experience with strong employment-law knowledge (FLSA, FMLA, ADA, Title VII).
• Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Proficiency in HRIS software, Google Workspace, and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Provide support to assigned plants and personnel; in the field 30-40% of the time.
• Advise on the application of company policies, procedures & appropriate documentation.
• Partner with leaders on employee relations, coaching, performance management, and investigations.
• Recruit & attend local job fairs and CDL schools.
• Collaborate with management to address workforce planning.
• Assist with the hiring process and offer letters.
• Maintain employee files including Department of Transportation (DOT) Driver Qualification files.
• Maintain accurate and confidential employee records.
• Ensure compliance with Federal & state employment laws including DOT regulations.
• Serve as back up to HR Manager in their absence.
• Aid HR Managers with special projects as needed, i.e. benefits open enrollment, employee training.
• Other duties as assigned by management.
