Job summary

CRB, a leading engineering and consulting firm, is seeking an HR Generalist to administer human resources policies and provide comprehensive support. You will manage day-to-day HR operations with primary responsibility for total rewards, talent management, and confidential advisory services for frontline managers.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR or Business Administration or equivalent.
  • Minimum of three years HR experience.
  • Strong knowledge of state and federal employment laws.
  • Ability to interact with all levels of management and employees.
  • Excellent time management and multitasking abilities.
  • Demonstrated confidentiality, analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team.
  • Experience with HRIS/ATS, LMS, E‑Verify, and background checks; MS Office proficiency.
  • PHR or SHRM-CP certification a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Partner in development and administration of HR policies and standards.
  • Create and deliver frontline manager training on Talent Management.
  • Support job descriptions and job architecture updates across the enterprise.
  • Advise and coach frontline managers on people management practices.
  • Manage employee relations, performance issues, and termination reviews.
  • Prepare and process new work visa applications as needed.
  • Participate in HR project teams to improve internal processes.
  • Maintain compliance with HR policies and employment regulations.
  • Prepare internal HR communications for various functions.
  • Support additional HR activities as assigned.

Job Description

The HR Generalist is responsible for administering human resources policies and procedures balancing employee advocacy and business operating needs. The Generalist will provide comprehensive HR support with primary responsibility for the day-to-day management of HR operations related to total rewards, talent management, and other areas/projects as assigned. This role requires a high degree of confidentiality and the ability to build credible relationships with business leaders allowing for better decisions and organizational effectiveness. Supporting, advising and coaching front line managers on standard people management practices, policies, and procedures.

Responsibilities include:

  • Partnering in the development and administration of Corporate HR policies, procedures, and standards; effectively communicate and execute necessary changes
  • Creation and delivery of front line manager training related to the annual Talent Management Cycle
  • Support an enterprise-wide job description and job architecture refresh by collaborating with HRBPs, leaders, and subject‑matter experts to update and standardize job content, maintain job family and leveling structures, ensure alignment with compensation and talent frameworks, document governance processes, and coordinate project timelines and stakeholder reviews.
  • Performing employee relations functions including support and counseling regarding personnel and job-related conflicts, problem solving and dispute resolution, managing employee performance issues, review, and assessment of termination requests in conjunction with HRBPs
  • Preparation and processing of new work visa applications, as needed
  • Participation on various HR project teams to resolve employment challenges or improve internal processes
  • Maintaining compliance with HR policies, local policies, and federal and state employment regulations
  • Providing various support for assigned human resources activities
  • Preparing internal employee communications for a variety of HR functions
  • Additional responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of experience. Degree in HR or Business Administration preferred
  • Minimum of three years of experience in Human Resources required
  • General knowledge of state and federal laws, regulations related to employment and personnel practices.
  • Ability to interact with all levels of management and employees.
  • Strong time management skills and ability to prioritize and multitask
  • Demonstrated ability to handle all matters with the highest degree of confidentiality.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated good decision-making and judgement skills, and ability to work independently.
  • Ability to both be self-directed and work effectively in a team environment.
  • Experience with one or more of the following: HRIS/ATS systems, LMS administration, E-Verify, and conducting drug screening and background checks.
  • Advanced MS Office skills
  • PHR or SHRM-CP certification a plus
