Job summary

Rise Baking Company seeks a dedicated accounting professional to support HR-related costs and lead payroll, benefits, and workers’ compensation accounting during monthly closes. You will prepare journal entries, perform balance sheet reconciliations, and analyze results to provide actionable data to management.

This role requires strong US GAAP knowledge, experience with SAP or a similar ERP, advanced Excel skills (Pivot, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP), and a proven track record of meeting close deadlines in

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required.
• 2+ years of hands-on general ledger experience.
• Strong understanding of US GAAP, especially accruals and prepaids.
• Experience with SAP or similar Tier-1 ERP system and sub-ledgers.
• Advanced Excel skills with large datasets (Pivot, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP).

Responsibilities

• Lead journal entry preparation and accounting support for HR-related costs.
• Perform complex balance sheet reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
• Maintain prepaid and accrual accounts and ensure proper amortization.
• Support ERP integrations and acquisition-related accounting tasks.
• Assist with external audit requests and internal controls during close.
• Collaborate with non-finance partners to obtain data and approvals.
