Job summary

Target in New York is seeking a Human Resources Expert to support recruiting, scheduling, and employee relations at the store level. You will partner with store leadership to anticipate staffing needs, deliver an easy guest experience, and ensure compliance with policies.

The role offers fast-paced, hands-on work with flexible hours, including nights and weekends. You will develop HR skills, engage with guests and team members, and contribute to a positive shopping environment.

Qualifications

• Welcoming and helpful attitude toward all guests and team members.
• Ability to communicate on multiple frequency devices and operate handheld scanners, and other technology equipment as directed.
• Effective communication skills.
• Work both independently and with a team.
• Resolve guest questions quickly on the spot.

Responsibilities

• Create an Easy, Inspiring and Friendly guest experience by delivering on the following commitments.
• Greet guests at 10ft and 4ft with a friendly approach.
• Help guests find what they need and/or resolve issues to ensure a smooth, easy shopping experience.
• End every guest transaction with a sincere thank you.
• Actively support team efforts and assist peers in other areas while maintaining a positive and respectful attitude.
• Lead focused recruiting efforts to help store leaders find and hire candidates.
• Support team member training needs and be an advocate for continuous learning.
• Be an expert resource for scheduling systems and pay practices.
• Be approachable and available by listening to team members and collaborating with appropriate leaders to take action as needed.
• Deliver on all Human Resources processes and programs to maximize team member engagement and minimize business disruption.
• Follow company compliance policies that mitigate risk to the team member experience.
• Demonstrate a culture of ethical conduct, safety and compliance.
• Work in a safe manner at all times; comply with all safety policies, best practices, and training; report hazards and correct where possible.
• All other duties based on business needs.
