Job summary

The Tennessee Department of Transportation seeks an Employee Engagement HR Generalist 2 in Nashville to support employee experience, HR communications, and change management across TDOT programs and divisions.

You will create plain-language materials, coordinate surveys, and partner with Communications and Legal to ensure clear, accessible HR information and positive employee engagement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and three years of professional HR experience.
• Graduate coursework may substitute for up to one year of experience.
• Experience may substitute for up to four years of education.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain HR communications for employees, supervisors, leaders, Regions, HQ divisions, and HR partners.
• Translate technical HR information into plain-language materials explaining actions and contacts.
• Coordinate employee experience activities—surveys, feedback opportunities, recognition, onboarding feedback, HR awareness, and cross-divisional engagement.
• Support change management by creating communication and adoption materials that explain changes, rationale, actions, and support resources.
• Coordinate survey communications, participation messaging, supervisor and leader resources, and post-survey communications with Communications and HR leadership.
• Maintain Employee Engagement channels and resources to improve accessibility, clarity, and usability.
