Job summary

Prestige Healthcare Management in Iowa seeks a Human Resources Director to lead HR operations for a post-acute care facility. The role focuses on recruitment, onboarding, policy compliance, and employee relations.

You will manage applications, conduct interviews, run background checks, and maintain personnel records while aligning with facility practices and state regulations. This leadership role includes overseeing payroll, time cards, attendance, disciplinary actions, and personnel scheduling

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Minimum of three (3) years of experience in human resource management.
• Knowledge of laws and guidelines concerning personnel administration in post-acute care settings.

Responsibilities

• Checks applications and references for prospective employees and arranges for interviews as required or directed.
• Maintains job applications for personnel eligible to work in the facility.
• Conducts employee background checks in accordance with facility policy.
• Develops and implements a facility plan for recruitment, selection, and training of competent personnel.
• Hires personnel in accordance with the facility’s hiring practices and conducts onboarding.
• Maintains an adequate personnel record filing system that meets the needs of the facility and complies with current employment practices.
• Assists with scheduling work hours, personnel, work assignments, vacation schedules, etc., as required or requested.
• Maintains attendance records and records of counseling, warning, and other disciplinary actions.
• Terminates employees when necessary, coordinating with the Department Director and Administrator.
• Reviews time cards for accuracy.
• Review and process payroll for the facility.

Education

Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field
